Hungerford Summer Classes

HUNGERFORD OFFERS SUMMER PROGRAMS

The New Britain Youth Museum at Hungerford Park, 191 Farmington Avenue, Kensington is offering summer classes for preschool children through grade 5. Our preschool POPSICLES classes for children 2-5 years old (2 and 3 year olds must be accompanied by an adult) features three sessions. Each session may include live animals, games, crafts, stories and outdoor exploration. A snack is provided. Days: Tuesdays or Fridays 9:15-10:00 am. Fee: $24 members per session and $30 non-members per session. Session 2 “Nature’s Art” and Session 3 “Cooking Creations.”

Summer Discovery classes for children include: Session 2 “Bugs!Bugs!Bugs!” August 3-7; Session 3 “Scaly Creatures” August 10-14, and Session 4 “Connecticut Wildlife”August 17-21. Classes are 9:00 am – 12:00 pm, Fee: $120 for members per session and $150 for non-members per session. Pre-registration and pre-payment is required. Now through Labor Day, Hungerford is offering a discount of $10 off the current annual membership price of $50.
