James J. D'Errico, 96; World War II Veteran; Fafnir Bearing Co. Retiree Who Lived in Kensington

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, May 15.

James J. D’Errico, 96, formerly of Kensington, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2015 at the Monsignor Bojnowski Manor in New Britain.

He was a devoted husband to the late Josephine (Notaro) D’Errico until her death in 1999.

James was a WWII veteran, graduated from the University of Hartford and retired from the Fafnir Bearing Company, and was a long time member of St. Paul Catholic Church.

He is survived by a sister, Lillie Conte, a devoted daughter-in-law Judy D’Errico, granddaughters Jennifer Eustace and her husband Robert, and Jeanette D’Errico, two great-granddaughters Kayla and Zoe Eustace and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sons, James M. and Robert A. D’Errico, a daughter-in-law Maryann D’Errico, his brothers Joseph, Frank, Michael and John D’Errico and his sister Tomisina Tammaro.

The family would like to thank the nurses, aides and staff at the Monsignor Bojnowski Manor for their extraordinary care and compassion for the past 11 years.

Everyone is invited to go directly to St. Paul Church 485 Alling St Kensington at 11:30 on Friday May 15, 2015 for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in New Britain, there are no calling hours.

The Berlin Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
