LETTER: Thanks for Supporting the Law Enforcement Torch Run Through Berlin
The annual benefit for Special Olympics raised more than $5,000 in Berlin this year.

Each year the Berlin Police Department, along with law enforcement agencies around the state, participates in the Connecticut Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run. The Torch Run is a major fundraising event to support the Connecticut Special Olympic games each year.
The 2016 Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Connecticut was held on June 10, 2016. This is the 30th year that the Berlin Police Department has participated in the Law Enforcement Torch Run. The run through Berlin covered approximately seven miles.
The Berlin Police Department’s Connecticut Special Olympics coordinator, Sergeant John McCormack, would like to express his sincere thanks to the members of the department, the citizens of Berlin, and the local businesses that supported this worthwhile cause.
