Lois E. 'Lo' Rustico, 76; A Nurse Who Lived in Berlin
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, June 9 with the funeral scheduled for Wednesday, June 10.

Lois E. “Lo” (Foberg) Rustico, 76, of Berlin, wife of William “Bill” Rustico, passed away Thursday (June 4, 2015) at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain.
Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Marion (Fuller) Foberg, and a former East Berlin, Farmington and East Hartford resident until moving back to Berlin in 2011.

A 1957 graduate of New Britain High School, she also graduated from the Middlesex Memorial School of Nursing in 1960 and was a Registered Nurse for Dr. Anthony Nevulis in New Britain. Lois was a member of St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church in East Berlin.
Lois bravely battled Multiple Sclerosis for the past 40 + years. In spite of her illness, she always maintained a positive outlook on life and enjoyed every minute she spent with family and friends. Her grace and dignity under difficult circumstances were truly an inspiration to all who knew her. Her glass was most definitely half full.

Besides her husband of 54 years, she leaves two sons, Robert Rustico and his wife Karen of East Berlin; and William Rustico, Jr. and his wife Deborah of Highlands, NJ; two brothers, Raymond Foberg and his wife Diana of Virginia Beach, VA; and Robert Foberg and his wife Judy of East Hampton; a sister, Cheryl Devokaitis and her husband Gerald of Bloomfield; five grandchildren, Amanda, Adam, Magalyn, Noelle and Victoria Rustico; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and her caregiver, Lyba Isroilova.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, 10 AM at St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church, 68 Main St., East Berlin. Burial will follow in Wilcox Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday, 5 to 8 PM at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain.
