Malloy's Latest Budget Plan Slashes Berlin State Aid $750,000

Berlin was slated to receive $7.68 million in 2019; now Malloy is proposing $6.93 million instead to make up state budget deficit.

BERLIN, CT - The bad news keeps coming for Connecticut municipalities as the state attempts to claw out from under its budget mess.

Under Gov. Dannel P. Malloy's revised, proposed adjustments to the fiscal year 2019 budget previously adopted by the legislature state municipal aid would be cut nearly $100 million - both in the education and non-education side.

For Berlin, it would be a 10 percent cut from the previously approved $7.68 million total - to $6.93 million.
