Man, 39, Charged After Berlin Stabbing: Reports

BERLIN, CT — A 39-year-old male suspect has been charged by Berlin police in connection with a stabbing incident over the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

According to WFSB Channel 3, the Berlin Police Department has charged Keith Benoit, 39, with first-degree assault in connection with an incident Saturday morning, July 6, on Sage Drive.

Fox 61 reports that the BPD is being aided by the Connecticut State Police Major Crime Unit in investigating the incident, in which the victim is believed to be in stable condition.

Benoit was expected to appear in New Britain Superior Court Monday.
