Mary M. Peterson, 91; Lifelong Berlin Resident; Parishioner of St. Paul Church
Calling hours will be held Thursday, July 16 with funeral services scheduled for Friday, July 17.

Mary (Moore) Peterson, 91, of Berlin, wife of the late Roy Axel Peterson, passed away Monday (July 13, 2015) at Hartford Hospital after a very brief illness.
Born in New Britain, she was a lifelong Berlin resident. Mary was a graduate of Berlin High School, class of 1941, and received an Associate’s Degree from Teacher’s College of Connecticut, now CCSU. Mary was a communicant of St. Paul Church in Kensington; was a former member of the Berlin Garden Club and the Berlin Republican Town Committee. She was a member of the Berlin VFW Ladies Auxiliary and was a proud member of the local Bridge Club.

Mary is survived by two sons, Kent Peterson and his wife Barbara Wagner of Meriden, and Jack Peterson and his wife Debbie of East Berlin; a daughter, Joan Emerson and her husband Mark of Norfolk, MA; four grandchildren, Kevin Emerson and his wife Annie of Seattle, WA, Bryan Emerson and his wife Christine of North Yarmouth, ME, Sarah and Maggie Peterson, both of Richmond VA; four great grandchildren, Willow, Logan, Elliott and Mason Emerson; and two nieces, Carol Borselle and Pat Cooke.
Funeral services for Mary will be held 10 AM Friday at the Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain followed by burial in Maple Cemetery, Berlin. Calling hours are Thursday evening 5 to 8 PM at Carlson Funeral Home.
