McGee Middle School presents James and the Giant Peach Jr.
McGee Drama Club will present the musical James and the Giant Peach Jr. on March 31 and April 1. Bring the whole family for a night of fun!
What happens when a magic spell and a boy collide? Find out in McGee Middle School's production of James and the Giant Peach, Jr.! When James is sent by his atrocious aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that grows a tremendous peach, rolls into the ocean and launches a journey of enormous proportions. James befriends a collection of singing insects that ride the giant piece of fruit across the ocean, facing hunger, sharks and plenty of disagreements along the way. Roald Dahl’s beloved children’s book has been adapted for the stage by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the Academy Award-winning duo who penned the songs for the film La La Land. Bring the whole family for a night of music and laughter.
The cast and stage crew features 60 sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students who have been diligently rehearsing four nights a week since January.
The musical is directed by Katherine Desjardins and choreographed by Chris Kuzia with vocal direction by Corinne Terlecky and costumes by Gail Dwyer. The Pit Band is directed by Marlene Bradshaw and the Assistant Director is Juan Berrios.

Performance dates are Friday, March 31 at 7pm and Saturday, April 1 at 2pm and 7pm. Performances will be held in the McGee Middle School Auditorium, 899 Norton Road in Berlin.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for student.
