Memorial Day Parade Set in Berlin
Plus, what's closed in observance of the holiday.
The Town of Berlin will observe Memorial Day with a parade on Monday, May 25, organized by the Berlin Veterans’ Commission.
Parade participants will assemble in Saint Paul’s parking lot, Peck Street, Kensington, at 8:15 a.m. The parade will step off at 9 a.m.
The parade route will go down Farmington Avenue, turning left onto Masserio Drive, passing the Berlin Veterans’ of Foreign Wars Post 10732, then turn left onto Veterans’ Way, and end at the Berlin Veterans’ Memorial Park.

In the event of rain, the Memorial Day program will be held at the Berlin Veterans’ of Foreign Wars Post 10732 on Masserio Drive at 9 a.m.

What’s closed:
- All town departments will be closed on Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day.
- There will be no trash/recycling on Monday, May 25. Trash/Recycling will be picked up one day later.
- Most banks and libraries, all state and federal offices.
- There isn’t any mail delivery.
