Assumption College, Worcester MA
- The Assumption College Department of Athletics has announced that Kelsey Kozikowski, of Berlin, has been named to the 2017-18 Assumption College Women's Swimming and Diving team. Kozikowski, Class of 2019, is competing during the Greyhounds' fall and winter season.

- Eastern Connecticut State University recently released the names of 10 full-time students from Berlin who were named to the Dean's List for the fall 2017 semester. They are, with major: Rebecca Clementino, Visual Arts; Krista Fasciano, Pre-Social Work and Criminology; Cole Johnson '19 of Berlin, CT, was named to the Dean's List. Johnson's major is Computer Science. Kaileen Langlois, Communication; Alicia Maule, Early Childhood Education and Psychology; Gregory Platosz, Finance; Mckenna Quigley, Health Sciences; Kelli Salimeno, Psychology; Caroline Scarrozzo, Business Administration; and Michael Zisk, Exploratory Prof. Studies.
Emerson College, Boston MA
- Max Weiss, a resident of Berlin, has been named to the Emerson College Dean's List for the fall 2017 semester. Weiss is majoring in Media Arts Production. The requirement to make Emerson's Dean's List is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher.
University of Delaware, Newark DE

- Hallie Nygren from Berlin has been named to the University of Delaware's Dean's List for the fall 2017 semester. To meet eligibility requirements for the Dean's List, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a GPA of 3.33 or above (on a 4.0 scale) for the semester.
University of Rhode Island, Kingston RI
- The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce that 5,500 undergraduates have qualified for the fall 2017 Dean's List. The students represent nearly all of Rhode Island's cities and towns, all six New England states, New York and New Jersey, and many other states and nations. To be included on the Dean's List, students must have completed 12 or more credits during a semester for letter grades with at least a 3.30 quality point average. Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 credits with a 3.30 quality point average. The list includes students who have not yet declared their majors as well as those from all of the University's undergraduate academic colleges. Honorees from Berlin are Alden Cain, Noah Gilbert, Sandra Jones, Matthew Kaczynski, Alexander Ladas, Caitlee McNamara, Jenna McNamara and Jonathan Platosz.
Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester MA
- Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) has announced that Hannah Schulz of Berlin, a member of the class of 2021 majoring in architectural engineering, was named to the university's Dean's List for academic excellence for the fall 2017 semester. A total of 1,608 undergraduate students achieved the criteria required for WPI's fall 2017 Dean's List. The criteria for the WPI Dean's List differs from that of most other universities, as WPI does not compute a grade point average (GPA). Instead, WPI defines the Dean's List by the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and projects.
