1 Killed In Motorcycle Crash In Berlin, ID Released: Police
A 46-year-old motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
BERLIN, CT — A 46-year-old New Britain man was killed in a motorcycle accident in Berlin Tuesday evening, according to Connecticut State Police.
Police said Angel Ruiz, 46, of New Britain, was killed after his Yamaha motorcycle crashed into a metal barrier on Route 9 in Berlin at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
According to the accident report, Ruiz was traveling on Route 9 south, north of Exit 33 in the right lane of two.

"For an unknown reason," police said, Ruiz lost control of the motorcycle and collided with a metal beam guardrail adjacent to the right shoulder.
Police said Ruiz was thrown off the motorcycle, with the Yamaha ending up in a grassy median to the right of the shoulder and Ruiz coming to an "uncontrolled rest" in the shoulder.

Ruiz was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
