UPDATE: Police ID Fatal Berlin Motorcycle Crash Victim
The cyclist reportedly collided with a car making a U-turn early Sunday; Police are seeking witnesses to the crash.

Berlin Police are continuing to investigate the fatal motor vehicle crash that killed a 26-year-old Meriden man early Sunday.
Police are seeking witnesses to the crash that occurred at approximately 12:17 a.m. Sunday on the Berlin Turnpike at Overhill Road.

Police said they received multiple emergency 911 calls reporting that a southbound motorcycle crashed into the side of a car making a U-turn at the intersection. The 26-year-old male motorcyclist was taken by ambulance to Mid-State Medical Center in Meriden where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
The 29-year old female operator of the car was taken to Hartford Hospital by ambulance and underwent surgery. She was listed by hospital officials as being in guarded condition.

The driver of the car has been identified as Carolyn Longyear, 29, of Cromwell and the motorcycle driver was Nelson A. Gonzalez Jr. of Meriden, according to police.
The Mid-State Accident Reconstruction Squad is assisting in the investigation.
Any witnesses to the crash are requested to contact Berlin Police at 860-828-7080.

A 26-year-old man was fatally injured when his motorcycle crashed into a car making a U-turn at the intersection of the Berlin Turnpike and Overhill Road.
Several calls were made to 911 reporting the crash just after midnight Saturday, according to The Courant.

The identity of the motorcyclist who died at Midstate Medical Center in Meriden and the 29-year-old woman driver, who was admitted to Hartford Hospital were not released.
