New Britain Man Wanted For Girlfriend's Murder Arrested In SC

NEW BRITAIN, CT - A New Britain man who allegedly murdered his girlfriend was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Georgetown County South Carolina, WFSB reported.

Benjamin Morales, 42, is accused of shooting and killing Alice Marie Figueroa, 27, on Feb. 4. Police obtained a warrant for his arrest last month.

SWAT members entered a home and found the suspect hiding out in a refrigerator Tuesday afternoon. Morales is currently in jail in South Carolina and will be extradited to Connecticut, according to the New Haven Register.
