New Britain McD's Location To Celebrate Renovation

NEW BRITAIN, CT — Area folks can celebrate a newly renovated McDonald's with a Big Mac and a side of vaccines.

The new look of McDonald’s has arrived in New Britain with a complete rebuild of the restaurant located at 40 Martin Luther King Drive.

In honor of the update, McDonald’s invites the community to celebrate its grand re-opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, Sept. 30 and "buy-one-get-one" deals for the entire month of October.

Additionally, in partnership with Griffin Health, they will be hosting four free COVID-19 vaccination clinics starting this week.

A grand re-opening and ribbon-cutting is slated for Friday, Sept. 30, at 10 a.m.

The McDonald's features an entirely new interior and exterior look, innovative digital ordering kiosks and more.

The public is invited to attend.

The local owner of the restaurant, Keith Santacroce (who is celebrating 44 years with McDonald's), will also present a check to Ronald McDonald House Charities of New Haven & The Friendship Center of New Britain.

Meanwhile, the site will also serve as a place to get vaccinated for Covid.

The first clinic is from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22, with others slated for Friday, Sept. 23, Thursday, Sept. 29 and Friday, Sept. 30, all at the same time and locations

The free COVID-19 vaccination clinic is in partnership with Griffin Health.

Those that attend the clinic can choose between the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines. A free value meal will be given with each shot.
