Night-time Bridge Repairs on Route 9 in Berlin
The work is scheduled to begin this week and cause delays for motorists.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is scheduled to begin nighttime repairs to the Christian Lane overpass on Route 9 in Berlin during the week of Oct. 12.
The project involves the repair to the structural steel members to the bridge, which recently sustained damage when it was hit by a passing vehicle, according to ConnDOT.
The project was issued on an Emergency Declaration basis to Hartland Builders and Restoration Company of East Granby, at an estimated cost of $500,000 on Sept. 25.

The project is scheduled to be completed by Dec. 1.

Traffic on Route 9 Southbound in Berlin will be impacted periodically during the bridge repair work. Motorists can expect delays Monday through Friday from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. and intermittently on weekends.
