Northwest Catholic’s Kirsten Armetta to Play Division I Soccer at Anderson University
Kirsten Armetta, a senior at Northwest Catholic High School in West Hartford, was a key player on the school's 2015 state championship team.
Kirsten Armetta of Berlin signed her National Letter of Intent February 2, 2017 in front of family, friends, coaches, and school administrators at Northwest Catholic High School in West Hartford. Armetta will play soccer at Anderson University in South Carolina this fall.
A 2016 team captain and four-year varsity player, Armetta led the team last fall with 13 goals and 12 assists. She was also a key player on the school’s 2015 state championship team. Armetta finished her soccer career at Northwest Catholic with 20 goals and 13 assists. As a senior she was named Most Valuable Player, All-Courant, All-Conference, and All-State.
Athletic Director Matthew Martorelli ’03 paid tribute to Armetta during the signing ceremony and concluded his remarks saying, “We wish Kirsten the best of luck as she becomes a Trojan at Anderson University!”
