Person Shot at Apartment Complex in Berlin

BERLIN, CT — An unidentified person was shot Tuesday night at the Fieldstone Crossing apartment complex on Deming Road, according to police.

Around 9:18 p.m., police responded to the area of 313 Fieldstone Crossing in Berlin for reports of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds lying on the ground outside the residence. The victim was transported to a local hospital for the evaluation of non life-threatening injuries, police said.

The incident does not appear to be a random act, and police said there is no threat to the public.

Detectives from the Connecticut State Police Central District Major Crime Squad responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.
