Shriner Statue Vandalized, Decapitated In Newington
A statue at a fraternal organization was damaged by vandals.
NEWINGTON, CT — A statue outside of a local organization has been vandalized, according to The New Britain Herald. The statue represents a replica of a Shriner holding a child at the Sphinx Temple Shrine at 197 Deming St.
The statue was dislodged from its base and decapitated. The damage was discovered Saturday.
This is the third time the statue has been damaged.
