Suspicious Death at Berlin Motel Being Investigated

State police detectives from a major crime squad were called to the scene early Sunday morning.

BERLIN, CT β€” A suspicious death early Sunday morning at a Berlin Turnpike motel is being investigated by state police detectives from the Central District Major Crime (CDMC) squad.

Around 3:30 a.m., at the request of the Berlin Police Department, CDMC detectives responded to the Days Inn at 2387 Berlin Turnpike to assist with the investigation of a suspicious death. At the request of the State’s Attorney Office, CDMC has assumed the investigation, state police said.

State police detectives remain at the scene and are actively investigating the incident. There is no perceived threat to the public or community, state police said.
