The Town of Berlin has released information about local impacts of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

BERLIN, CT — As is the case every year, the annual four-day Thanksgiving holiday weekend will have an impact on town/school operations locally.
Recently, the Town of Berlin announced its holiday weekend impacts.

According to local officials, all Town of Berlin departments will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
Meanwhile, the trash/recycling schedule for Thursday and Friday will be picked up
one day later (Friday and Saturday).

As for the schools, Berlin's school system will dismiss early on Wednesday, Nov. 22, with school closed for the holiday Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24.
Town officials also said on Wednesday, Nov. 22, the Berlin Community Center will close at 4:30 p.m. and the Berlin-Peck Memorial Library will close at 5 p.m.
All operations will reopen as normal on Monday, Nov. 27.
