Throwback Thursday: Do You Remember...?

BERLIN, CT — In this periodic series, Berlin Patch publishes random pages from Berlin High School yearbooks of the past, as found on archive.org.

Today we go back four decades to the 1977 edition of The Lamp, and do something a bit differently than we have to date. We show you pages 168 and 169, featuring small ads from a dozen patrons and sponsors of the senior class that year.

Among the businesses no longer in existence are Center Travel Agency (traveling agencies now considered dinosaurs in this internet age), Dana's Coiffures (I think 1977 may have been the last time anyone said the word "coiffure") and Carson's Auto Body.

To the best of Patch's research efforts, the only two businesses shown on these pages that are still active in Berlin are Center Paint and Hardware and Heise Industries.
