Truck Fire Closes Route 9 Northbound in Berlin
A dump or recycling truck caught fire early Friday afternoon on a busy stretch of Route 9.

BERLIN, CT β Route 9 northbound in Berlin was closed for several hours between exits 22 and 24 early Friday afternoon due to a truck fire.
A Twitter post from WTNH-TV shows the truck in flames off to the side of the highway. Lettering on the truck indicates it belongs to CWPM, a waste removal and recycling company located in Plainville and New London.
