Truck-Themed Bar, Restaurant Opens In Berlin

Truck Bar has opened its second location in the state.

BERLIN, CT — A new bar, entertainment center, and pizza restaurant in Berlin is themed as a tribute to vintage trucks and gas stations, according to The Hartford Courant. Truck Bar at 151 Webster Square features a rusty blue GMC pickup and a Mobil pump salvaged from a Higganum gas station as centerpieces.

The pizza oven has been designed to resemble the back of a fire engine, and a jumbo Sunoco sign hangs on a wall.

Owner Merle McKenzie told The Hartford Courant that "there’s some vestige of my dad being a mechanic in the garage on Tolland Street in East Hartford.”
