Two Berlin Ponds To Get Pesticide Treatment
Both Paper Goods Pond and Railroad Pond will get pesticide applications on Tuesday.
BERLIN, CT — Two well-used bodies of water are pegged for pesticide treatment Tuesday, with the town recently announcing multiple actions to be avoided in coming days because of that.
According to the town's Facebook site, Railroad Pond off Main Street will be treated with the pesticide "Clearcast" from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday.
As a result, restrictions on drinking, cooking, boating, fishing and irrigation will be in place in the days after the treatments.

Meanwhile, Paper Goods Pond on Hart Street is also scheduled for pesticide treatments, including the use of "Clearcast," "Clipper" and "Rodeo," according to the town's Facebook page.
Paper Goods Pond will have similar restrictions in place, according to the town, following the treatment, which is also from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday.
