Unitarian Universalist Church in Meriden Worship Service - August 23, 2015

August 23rd "A Walk in the Woods" (a multi-generational experience) Worship Leaders: Alice Sherard and Steve Volpini

Join us for our annual summer worship tradition at UU Meriden. There will be no service at church this Sunday since we are planning a lovely hike at Millers Pond, an undeveloped state park in Durham. The hike is mostly flat with a few up and down hills while we circle the large pond. The trail difficulty is moderate and the pond, a ΒΌ mile walk from the parking lot, is a great place to kayak, canoe, or swim after the hike if you choose. There are no lifeguards on duty. The parking lot is limited so we are asking participants from Meriden or west to carpool and meet at the church no later than 9:15 am. We will leave at 9:30 am sharp. Those not carpooling should meet us at the Millers Pond by 9:45 am to begin hiking by 10 am. Bring water, snack, and comfy walking shoes. Optional: walking poles, bug spray, hat, sunglasses, binoculars, or anything else needed for an hour hike. Children welcome and dogs on leash.
