The December holidays may be jubilant and celebratory, but we are at high risk for abusing our environment with material extravagance and waste. For those of us who celebrate Christmas, how might we be more respectful than ever of this earth that we share and of the family of life, ourselves included, who are guests on this planet in the throes of climate change? Rev. Jan is partnering with Diane Szymaszek, who has just mobilized this congregation’s Green Team, for this worship experience focused on how we might do an about face and dream of a “green” Christmas.
We will also welcome a number of new friends into congregational membership. Coffee hour will feature a celebratory cake by Jane Dioguardi! In the festive mood of the season, we’re all invited to decorate our Christmas tree as we fete our newest members and enjoy the fellowship of all.
