What if a friend who you know to be caring, but casually so, greeted you a smile, an embrace, and a question: “How is it with your soul?” You’re rendered speechless. Your friend continues: “Really! It matters to me. How is it with your soul?” How would you then receive this greeting? What is your readiness to respond? How likely might you be to “play it forward” and extend this greeting to another friend or a family member? And by the way, how is it with your soul?
