Upbeat Holds 28th Annual Picnic on May 26

Upbeat will hold its 28th annual picnic for Berlin residents on Thursday May 26 from 5-8pm at Berlin Fairgrounds.

Berlin residents are invited to attend the 28th annual Berlin Upbeat Picnic on Thursday May 26 from 5-8pm at the Berlin Fairgrounds. A year in planning, the Berlin Upbeat Community Team and Berlin High School Upbeat Leadership Group has put together this event that celebrates everything our community has to offer. Admission and most activities are free. Hotdogs, beverages, and popcorn are also free. Donations are suggested for some activities, and other food will be available for purchase. Activities include face painting, bounce houses, duck races, pony rides and more. Entertainment from various community organizations will be ongoing throughout the event. Local businesses and municipalities will share information about their services. A silent auction will be held to raise funds for future Upbeat events, and kids’ grab bags will also be offered. Residents are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue to show their spirit. The picnic, an all-ages event, will be held rain or shine, and a shuttle bus will run from Berlin High School to the Berlin Fairgrounds. Upbeat, nearly 3 decades old, is actively engaged in community-wide services and helping Berlin youth develop leadership skills which follow them into every aspect of their lives. Join Upbeat and other Berlin residents at the picnic to celebrate our home town “where community is family”.
