Veteran Berlin Fire Official Passes Away
The former chief and president of the South Kensington Volunteer Fire Department has been volunteering since 1964.

BERLIN, CT β A veteran member of the South Kensington Fire Department in Berlin has died, ending a local affiliation of saving lives and property in town dating back to 1964.
The department, along with the Berlin Volunteer Fire Department, posted Monday notice of the passing of past chief and president Ronald Lindgren.
Lindgren, according to fire officials, was a "dedicated member of the department since 1964."

Calling hours are on Saturday, Jan. 28, at 9 a.m. at the Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home in Kensington with a Christian burial to follow at 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Church in Kensington.
