Victims of Berlin Fatal Car Crash Are Identified
The victims were a Berlin High School graduate and a Southington woman.

The identities of the two people killed in a fiery car crash early Saturday have been released by Berlin Police — a Berlin High School graduate and a Southington woman who was the mother of an 11-year-old boy.
The crash that occurred in the 1400 block of Kensington Road in Berlin about 3:45 a.m. Nov. 1 claimed the lives of David Gerent, 37,of Meriden, and Megan O’Grady, 32, of Southington, according to NBC Connecticut. According to police, the victims were found inside the car after firefighters extinguished the fire that engulfed Gerent’s Mercedes Benz when it struck a tree.
Police said Gerent apparently lost control of the car as he rounded a curve, according to the report.

Gerent was a 1996 graduate of Berlin High School and earned an associate’s degree from Tunxis Community College. Services are planned for Saturday, Nov. 8. His obituary can be found here on obitsforlife.com.
O’Grady graduated from Southington High School in 2000. Her survivors include her 11-year-old son Cameron Mahaffy. Her funeral is planned for Friday, Nov. 7. Her obituary can be found here at DellaVecchia Funeral Home.
