WATCH: New Berlin Senior Center Video Touts Its Impact

BERLIN, CT — Anyone who wants to know the role the Berlin Senior Center plays within the community only needs to see a new video that was put up by the center this seek.

The nearly 6-minute film features poignant music and comments from members as the camera operator goes inside the facility, which is located at 33 Colonial Drive.

Many of those interviewed in the video touted the center's vital role in the social lives of local senior citizens, who sometimes battle loneliness and isolation.

One senior said it was "better than being at home watching the TV," while another said it was "more fun than staying home, cleaning."

Others cited all of the games, lunches, coffee and other activities that seniors can participate in.

Said one, "The senior center is my safety net."
