Waste Oil Dumped Along Busy Berlin Roadway: BVFD
Anyone with information on the incidents, which were discovered on Friday, April 19, are asked to contact local authorities.

BERLIN, CT — Local firefighters recently spent time in town tending to barrels of waste oil dumped illegally throughout town.
According to the Berlin Volunteer Fire Department, units were investigating multiple reports of "barrels containing what is believed to be waste oil being illegally dumped at properties along Route 5."
While the barrels were dumped, the BVFD said, the contents of the barrel did not spill out.

"Currently, no environmental impact has occurred, and, in both cases, CT DEEP has ensured prompt remediation of the barrels."
