BERLIN, CT — The Berlin Volunteer Fire Department celebrated 80 years of existence last year, and, over the weekend, it released a nearly half-hour video paying tribute to all that history.

The video features still images of the BVFD in action, along with a diverse array of musical arrangements.

According to the department's web page, the BVFD was founded in 1943 with 15 members out of a two-car garage attached to a barn at 1757 Wilbur Cross Highway.
