WATCH: Berlin HS Student's Bike Safety Video Embraced By Police

The Berlin Police Department his week posted a special video to children on bike safety, which was created by a local high school student.

BERLIN, CT β€” School is out for summer, and area children are now hitting the roads atop their two-wheel transportation devices.

But a child's summer can be ruined should their bicycle meet a motorized vehicle.

Thanks to one Berlin High School student, area children can learn a thing or two about staying safe while riding.

The Berlin Police Department recently posted a special 5-minute, 30-second video by BHS student Nora Ritchie on its Facebook page in the hopes people will see it and learn.

"With the beautiful summer weather finally here, please take a few minutes to watch this video, share it with your children, family, and friends, and help keep our Berlin streets safe for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians," wrote the BPD.

Ritchie worked with students, teachers, and Berlin police officers to direct, film, and produce the video.
