Weekend Residential Fire Investigation Continues In Berlin
The fire destroyed a garage, but spared major damage to the home.

BERLIN, CT β Local fire officials are still investigating the cause of an intense-looking structure fire on Ronal Drive over the weekend in Berlin, one that could have been much worse.
According to the Berlin Volunteer Fire Department, the conflagration only resulted in smoke damage to a home, but an attached garage where the inferno happened Saturday, Feb. 18, was destroyed.
According to the Berlin Volunteer Fire Department, the fire was at 11:14 p.m. that night, with heavy fire seen when units arrived.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported and the department was at the scene for about two hours into Sunday morning.
Firefighters were able to keep the bulk of the blaze away from the living space and keep it in the garage, according to the BVFD.

Mutual aid was provided by the Newington and Wethersfield fire departments and the local fire marshal's office is still investigating.
