Wet A Line At Town Of Berlin's Fishing Derby

BERLIN, CT — There's still a bit of time to register for the Town of Berlin Recreation Department's fishing derby this Saturday for 8- to 15-year-olds.

The derby takes place on Saturday, April 29, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and the event is free for Berlin youths.

Last week, the town conducted a fishing derby for 3- to 7-year-olds.

The event will take place at Sage Park Pond, which is located at 1499 Berlin Turnpike.

Registration is required for participants to be eligible for prizes and winners must be present to claim their prizes.

The event is rain or shine, with Saturday's forecast looking a bit rainy as of Thursday afternoon.
