Work To Fix Berlin's Stinky, Noisy Food Processing Plant Begins
The Town of Berlin said a key component in efforts to rid a local food processing plant of its odor/noise problem has arrived this week.

BERLIN, CT — Work to solve odor and noise issues at a local food processing plant has started in earnest this week.
According to the Town of Berlin, Bright Feeds, which operates a food processing plant at 76 Fuller Way, Berlin, began installing necessary equipment to make the plant less stinky and quieter.
Bright Feeds takes food waste and turns it into animal feed for agricultural uses, but many folks say that charge comes with a stinky and noisy price.

"Crews are currently working through the installation process and we are told that the project remains on schedule for completion by mid-April," wrote the Town of Berlin in an update to residents.
"It is anticipated that the RTO will offer a permanent solution for those residents impacted by the odor and noise from this facility."
