Youth Sports: Berlin Little League All-Stars Are Rolling

Berlin 12's All Stars

In its last game of pool play, Berlin wrapped up a perfect 6-0 record beating New Britain 17-0. 

Berlin continued it's onslaught of offensive production throughout the lineup. Home runs were hit by former farm league Cardinal Jake Loiselle and by Joe Konowski. Berlin has outscored its opponents 125-6 in the first six games.

Brendan Ebert earned the win for Berlin with Joe Konowski pitching in one inning for the locals.

Berlin will start crossover play as the number 1 seed vs. Ed Walsh Little League on Saturday at 5:45 at nearby Recreation Field in Southington.

Berlin 11's All Stars

In a must win game, the Berlin 11's All Stars beat McCabe Waters to advance to the District 5 crossover. They start Friday night with a field and time to be announced. Down early 5-0, the 11's battled back to beat McCabe 19-8.

Berlin 10's Win

The Berlin's 10's in the District 5 elimination game at Memorial Field in Southington beat Wallingford 5-2. 

Nick Carroll earned the win for Berlin, Gianni Fanelli came in for middle relief and got the team out of a first and second no out inning by allowing no hits. Ryan Hyde came in to close the game and earn a save.

Offensively, David Biscoglio led the team (3-for-3, walk) and Carroll pounded the ball with a double and triple.

Berlin plays Thursday at 5:45 at Memorial Field in Southington against rival Southington South.
