Youths Get Free Ice Cream For Wearing Helmets: Berlin PD
The Berlin Police Department and a local ice cream shop are working together to give kids who wear helmets while biking/skating free treats.
BERLIN, CT β In Berlin, children wearing helmets while biking, skateboarding, or roller skating will get more than just a safe noggin should they fall.
They just might get a stomach full of sweet, tasty ice cream.
The Berlin Police Department and Praline's Ice Cream in Berlin are working together on the "Safe Kids Wear Lids" campaign.

According to the BPD, officers in town will be looking for youths "being safe and wearing their helmets," while traveling on bikes or skate wheels.
If a cop sees a kid being safe, he will give them a voucher for free ice cream at Praline's, which is located at 1179 Farmington Ave.
