15th Annual Southwest Cafe Margarita 5k on Saturday, July 31
In-Person and Virtual Race Options to Support Ability Beyond
Ability Beyond, a nonprofit headquartered in Bethel, CT that offers programs for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities, is pleased to announce that Barb Nevins and Southwest Café will host the 15th Annual Southwest Cafe Margarita 5K in support of Ability Beyond’s vital programs and services.
The event returns with an in-person race on Saturday, July 31st at 7:00 pm. Runners will also have the option to register for a virtual race. Advance registration is required and can be found with additional race details at https://runsignup.com/Race/Info/CT/Ridgefieldoranywhere/SouthwestCafeMargarita5K.
Runners in the in-person race will receive a soft lifestyle tee and a bib that can be redeemed for a free margarita or soda. Those registered for the virtual race will have their tee and bib mailed to them after the race.

The Southwest Cafe Margarita 5K has supported Ability Beyond’s two residential living programs located in Ridgefield - Sunrise Cottage and Ritch Drive - for the past 15 years.
“We know how important it is to empower every person, no matter their ability, to live, work and thrive as members of this community”, says Barb Nevis, Southwest Cafe owner.

“You don’t have to participate in the run to make a difference, but we sure hope you do. We encourage both athletes and non-athletes alike to consider making a donation directly to these wonderful programs, right on our registration site.”
