2 Major Area Employers Announce Layoffs
Cartus and Boehringer Ingelheim announced layoffs that may affect hundreds of residents in Danbury, Ridgefield, Bethel and surrounding towns
Boehringer Ingelheim and Cartus both recently announced they will be laying off employees, according to the Hartford Courant and The News Times.
Boehringer Ingelheim, based in Ridgefield on the Danbury line, is a pharmaceutical company. No estimate of the layoff date or how many positions might be affected have been announced.
Last Friday The News Time reported that 100 Cartus employees lost their jobs. Cartus is a Danbury-based relocation specialist.
