The 30th Annual Christmas Show "Home For The Holidays"

A Christmas dinner theater musical at three Connecticut locations

“ Home For the Holidays ” is the title of the 30th annual Christmas Show, produced by Steppin Out
Entertainment , performed throughout Connecticut. A good hearted family tries to spread Christmas
cheer to some less fortunates, but in return, they get much more than they bargained for.

Started by Robert Butler and formerly performed at The Spinning Wheel Inn, Steppin’ Out
Entertainment has continuously presented this tradition over the year’s in Fairfield, Bethel,
Manchester, and last year adding Trumbull and Norwalk to it’s dinner theater locations. Mr. Butler,
who retired in 2008, passed away this past summer, so the 30th anniversary show will be dedicated
in his memory. Bob Butler, brought the idea of theater banqueting from England where combining
food and entertainment dates back to medieval times. Originally, the Christmas show featured twelve
courses and twelve acts.

Karen Randazzo, the writer and director with her husband Peter serving as musical director
took over in 1986 and whittled the show to four courses and five acts. The acts were brief vignettes
of songs and patter. In 1989, Karen changed the format to a storyline or mini musical in three acts.
Each year the story is all new and features both traditional and contemporary music. Enjoy a delicious
four course luncheon or dinner, served between the acts of this all new holiday musical. The show
always runs the gamut from heart warming to hilarious and is sure to put you in the Christmas spirit.
