BETHEL, CT — Bethel lays out early voting at the Clifford J. Hurgin Municipal Center starting Oct. 19, the Planning and Zoning Commission and Board of Finance meet Tuesday, and the Senior Center heads out on a concert luncheon and a thrift-shop trip.
Here are five things to know about life around Bethel this week:
1. Early Voting Starts Oct. 19 At The Municipal Center
When: Oct. 19 to Nov. 1, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 27 and 29)
Where: Meeting Room A, Clifford J. Hurgin Municipal Center, 1 School St.
What to know: In-person early voting by tabulator will be in Meeting Room A, according to the town. Absentee ballots began going out Oct. 2, and voters can still apply online through the state's portal.

2. Planning And Zoning, Board Of Finance Meet Tuesday
When: Tuesday, Oct. 13, 7 p.m.
Where: Clifford J. Hurgin Municipal Center, 1 School St.
What to know: The Planning and Zoning Commission and the Board of Finance both meet Tuesday evening, according to the town's meeting calendar. Agendas had not been posted as of Thursday.

4. Senior Center Concert Luncheon: Rob Zappuillo Celebrates Herb Alpert
When: Tuesday, Oct. 13
Where: Bethel Senior Center, Municipal Center, 1 School St.
What to know: The Senior Center's Aqua Turf luncheon and concert series continues with Rob Zappuillo's tribute to Herb Alpert, according to the center's September/October newsletter. The trips cost $80 per person and include coffee, doughnuts and a glass of wine or beer.
