ALERT: Danbury Branch Will Use Bus Transportation Instead of Trains on Three Saturdays

Posted by Paula Antolini

Please note new Metro-North train schedule will instead use bus transportation on July 12, 19 & 26:

Busing on Danbury Branch for Three Saturdays to Accommodate Planned Testing of New Signals

To allow for testing of the new signal system on the Danbury branch commuter rail line, buses will operate in place of six trains on each of three Saturdays, July 12, 19 & 26, to accommodate planned testing of grade crossings.

The first three southbound trains departing from Danbury will be replaced by buses, which will operate 12 MINUTES EARLIER than the normal train schedule -- or 7:37 a.m., 10:37 a.m. and 1:37 p.m., respectively.

The first three northbound trains departing South Norwalk (to Danbury) will be replaced by buses, departing SIX-TO-EIGHT MINUTES EARLIER than the normal train schedule, or 9:09 a.m., 12:07 p.m., and 1:07 p.m., respectively.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation and MTA Metro-North Railroad appreciate your patience during this scheduled testing.
