Stony Hill Volunteer Fire Company and Bethel Fire Department firefighters worked to extricate the occupant, who was transported to the hospital with advanced life support care. Multiple local fire units assisted at the scene.
• 4 more charged in DraftKings scheme seek diversionary programs, chance to have charges dismissed (newstimes.com) — Bethel residents Isamar and Isael Tejada are among several area defendants seeking a court diversionary program after being charged in a multi-town DraftKings fraud investigation. They and others from Danbury and Newtown face larceny, computer crime, and identity theft charges tied to alleged fraudulent transactions in 2024, with hearings scheduled in late April, May, and June.
• Connecticut boys lacrosse top performers and games to watch (April 21) (newstimes.com) — Connecticut high school boys lacrosse players are being highlighted this week for big scoring performances, milestone points, and clutch plays. Bethel gets a brief mention as the team Foran defeated when senior Cooper Fitzpatrick reached his 100th career point, while several upcoming marquee matchups are spotlighted for later this week.
