BETHEL, CT — Drivers on Interstate 84 near Exit 8 in Bethel can expect overnight lane closures and possible detours as construction begins next month, according to officials.
The work will take place on a bridge over I-84 between the on- and off-ramps at Exit 8, town officials said.
Construction is scheduled from May 4 through June 15 and will occur overnight from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., according to the town.
During those hours, lane closures and traffic pattern changes are expected, and drivers may be detoured on and off the highway at Exit 8, officials said.
Traffic control measures, including signage and state police presence, will be in place to guide motorists through the work zone, according to officials.
Drivers are advised to use caution when traveling through the area and consider alternate routes if needed.
