BETHEL, CT — Emergency crews responded to two separate motor vehicle crashes Tuesday afternoon, including one on Route 6 in the Stony Hill section of Bethel and another on Interstate 84, fire officials said.
The Stony Hill Volunteer Fire Company said crews were dispatched starting around 3 p.m. to the incidents, which occurred within a short time of each other.
The first crash was reported on Route 6 near Bottega, while the second occurred on I-84 and involved multiple vehicles, according to officials.
Due to the number of occupants involved in both crashes, multiple ambulances were called to assess and transport patients.
Additional assistance was provided by Bethel Fire & EMS, Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company, Danbury Ambulance and Brookfield EMS.
No further details about injuries or the number of vehicles involved were immediately available.
