BETHEL, CT — A power outage was affecting hundreds of customers in Bethel Friday afternoon, according to local officials and Eversource.
Bethel Emergency Management and the Fire Marshal's Office said the outage was caused by equipment damage on Grassy Plain Street.
Officials said the outage was affecting the southern portion of town, including the Clark Park area.
According to Eversource's outage map, 576 customers in Bethel were without power Friday afternoon.
Eversource crews were on scene, and officials said power restoration was expected later in the afternoon.
