Forecasters are warning of dangerously hot and humid conditions across Connecticut this week, with the hottest weather expected Wednesday through Friday. Heat index values could exceed 105 degrees in parts of the state, prompting officials to urge residents to take precautions and limit time outdoors.

Town officials encourage residents to stay hydrated, wear lightweight, light-colored clothing, avoid strenuous outdoor activity during the hottest parts of the day and check on neighbors who may be vulnerable to the heat. Anyone needing additional cooling center information can call 2-1-1.
