The lottery publicly lists winners of $10,000 or more, though players can choose to remain anonymous under state law.
• Design praised to replace two 1800s homes in Bethel with 18 units (newstimes.com) — Bethel officials and a local developer are moving ahead with an 18-unit apartment project on Greenwood Avenue that will replace two historic 1800s homes while echoing their architectural style. At the same time, the town is scrambling to see if the attached schoolhouse where P.T. Barnum likely learned to read can be saved and relocated before demolition begins this fall.
• Another CT town puts Flock license plate cameras on hold amid privacy concerns (theday.com) — Bethel police have halted installation of Flock license plate reader cameras, responding to local and statewide privacy concerns while confirming that no data has yet been collected in town. Officials say they'll wait for more state guidance, promising strict access rules, audit logs, and warrant requirements if the technology is ever activated.
